FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is the difference between a rolling door and a sectional door?
Rolling doors are a retractable closure system made up of aluminum slats, typically between 60-100 mm in height, that roll onto an axle installed at the top lintel of the door, allowing for installation in a relatively small space. These doors are ideal for locations with limited space or for exterior installations.
Sectional doors, on the other hand, consist of steel or aluminum panels, approximately 500-600 mm high, that move along tracks installed on the sides and ceiling. These doors utilize the available overhead space in the facility, making them suitable for locations with high and elongated ceilings. When opened, the door is positioned along the ceiling.
How do I know what level of security I need?
Every space is unique. Factors such as the country’s situation, the people and assets you need to protect, the location of the space, and local regulations all play a crucial role in determining the level of security required and the elements to be installed.
A building may require several security elements (certified or not), combined with high-security components. That’s why the best option is to contact our experts so they can conduct an analysis of your space and provide the right advice on selecting the necessary security elements and their appropriate levels.
How long does it take to install a security rolling door?
It depends. The installation time of a CBX rolling door varies based on factors such as the characteristics of the installation site, the dimensions of the door, etc. Our technical and commercial teams can provide detailed answers to these questions after reviewing your project.
Does the opening system work if there’s a power outage?
Yes. Our rolling doors come with a handle for manual opening and closing in case of a power failure or lack of electricity. Your security will never depend solely on the power supply.
Can I connect my home automation and security control system to a CBX rolling door?
Yes. Our security systems offer high integration capabilities, allowing you to connect your existing home automation or electronic device systems to work seamlessly with our security doors. The operation will not be affected, and the system can be controlled remotely.
What is architectural shielding or physical security?
Architectural shielding involves integrating a series of physical security elements (windows, doors, shutters, and fixed barriers) to make a building impenetrable from the outside without consent. The design is crafted to prevent any unwanted or sudden attacks, following a thorough security assessment. CBX specializes in the full integration of top-tier architectural shielding systems. Depending on the level of security required, this can mean complete building protection or fortifying a specific area (for example, a bunker or panic room).
We often associate architectural shielding with high-level public or private buildings such as banks or embassies. However, the global crime rate for violent burglaries has increased exponentially in recent years, making these systems increasingly necessary for everything from jewelry stores to residential homes, and even art galleries. You can shield an entire building, a window, or a door exposed to criminal activity.
